Formed from 4mm thick aluminium sheet custom routed and perforated to form a binary code similar to a computer card, the cladding system is designed as a permanent sun shading device. The pattern is visible on the building elevations that are back lit with LEDs at the night.

Oxford Science Park
For this project in Oxford, the architect had specific requirements for both the five meter high continuous weldmesh panels that double as plant climbers, and the custom perforated aluminium sheet panels that were located on the main entrance elevations of the building.
Both types of infill were set in a bespoke extruded aluminium perimeter frame that replicated standard hot rolled steel sections traditionally used for this application.

7th & Grand Street Parking and Bridges
7th & Grand Street is in Des Moines, Iowa. The long, bitter winters mean pedestrians move across the central business district via a series of glazed enclosed and air-conditioned foot bridges that connect offices and car parks alike. Our 7 & Grand Street project does just this with high performance double glazed unitised façade enveloping the lift shafts and main parking and drop off areas.

Our proprietary structurally glazed unitised system was customised to meet the architectural intent, including bespoke continuous louvre bands glazed into the façade, structurally glazed ‘Z’ corners and built-in planter boxes to the façade balcony areas.

Unitised glazed curtain wall with minimal sight lines achieved by structural glazing rather than an externally capped system, the elegance of the façade is further enhanced by the slender vertical feature fins consisting of two 4mm thick extrusions separated by a minimal spacer to give both a pleasing effect and structural integrity.
